Default New Plan

New Plan --- Can Mark make it happen?

Trade #1 - Walker for Big Z...... Cleveland needs a PF now, and Walker would fit great there. Cash, Draft picks whatever it takes.

Trade #2 - Fortson for Payton........ Dallas needs a vet PG, and with the new LA team...they need rebounds badly. This one makes sense, so LA will probably never do it.

Trade #3 - Najera/Delk for Tskitishvili ...... I believe that Denver has the cap room to make this work, and Kiki loves the hustle of Najera. Tskitishvili fell out of favor in Denver. ? ? ?

Lineup:
Big Z, Bradley, Benga
Nowitzki, Tskitishvili
Finley, Stackhouse, Howard
Daniels, Stefansson
Payton, Harris, AJohnson

IR: TAW; Laettner; most of the year AJohnson
(or buy out TAW and put PPod on the IR)

Europe - anywhere getting playing time.....lots of it.......PPod, Flores

25+ Million coming off the books at the end of the year with Big Z, Payton, Laettner. If Harris and Benga and PPod develop, then no need to resign any of them, or at least resign at a reduced rate.

At the end of the year, Finley would be the only really overpaid player on the team.

Let Avery be a coach. Then you've got room for everybody.

dalm- Skita is not out of favor in Denver. He's still young and raw, but Kiki V. seems to like him. Kiki would certainly trade him though. I'd do hte Najera/Delk reduction to Skita in a heartbeat. Kiki would not.

Doc, you are probably correct. I took my info from hoopshype.

Instead, expect the focus of the trade discussions to center on the Nuggets other 2002 lottery pick, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, who fell out of favor with head coach Jeff Bzdelik last year and played sparingly. The 7-foot-1 forward is just 20 years old and has the potential to play both the three and the four.

I like the first two trades. I don't know what about the Payton/fortson trade LA would like, although I know on another thread it was said that LA needs rebounding. But if they trade GP, then all they really have is Rush. On the other hand, though, GP does want out if Shaq leaves...intreguing.
