Predict the outcome of the election...
Well the election is a little over a week away. This forum has not had alot of fun on it, just a bunch of arguing. This is my "weak" attempt at changing that.
No name calling here, no arguing policy please... just give your prediction for the result of the election on November 2nd including the final electoral vote tally.
If you need help in calculating the votes of each state, click here.
NOTE: Any posts demeaning a poster for their prediction will be deleted (or edited if the post contains a prediction). Your co-operation is greatly appreciated.

Bush wins reelection with 275 electoral votes to Kerry's 263. Kerry wins Ohio and Pennsylvania but loses Florida, New Jersey and Minnesota....and the election

RE:Predict the outcome of the election...
Bush wins Iowa, Wisconsin, Florida and Ohio. Final EV 295-243. Bush wins popular vote.
Reserve right to change Kerry prediction for New Mexico and Minnisota.
Can I demean posters for things other than their prediction?
Edit: What the heck, move NM to Bush-land. Bush wins 300-238.

Only house race of note: Sessions wins narrow victory over Frost.

Beg to differ. In another of the "redistricts", Chet Edwards (unfortunately) defeats Arlene Wohlgemuth and thwarts Tom DeLay.

I'll take you up on that one. Frost with 52% of the total, Sessions exits stage right with 48%.

RE: Predict the outcome of the election...
Does anyone here think that Florida (or any other state for that matter) will end up in a recount quandary like 2000?

Wager? Hmmmmm.... Can't turn down a wager. Something fun or something tangible?
We could do a sig and avatar change for a period of time....

I propose that the loser be required to change their avatar to a picture of the winning candidate.

Through the playoffs, signature and avatar of the winner's choosing? Difficult to enforce, though.

Too early to tell, IMO, but it's entirely possible. The lawsuits are already drafted; it's just a question of whether they feel that they have sufficient justification to file them.

RE:Predict the outcome of the election...
Bush takes the electoral vote 278-260 and the popular vote to a lesser extent than Gore in 2000. Martin Frost narrowly loses to Pete Sessions but thankfully Chet Edwards triumphs over the inhumane monstrosity that is Arlene Wuhlgemuth easier than even expected. Republicans retain control of the house but Democrats make gaisn in the senate.

That's my prediction, too, and I'm sticking to it. 291-247. Four...more...years.
I used to think Hillary had presidential potential, but I don't any longer. Sorry, Hillary. Not in this lifetime.

Well, I'm a little edgy about this election. I am going to post my prediction sometime after the 31st... probably the first, if not on the morning after I cast my vote.

RE: Predict the outcome of the election...
My prediction:
Bush: 279
Kerry: 259
The reason I am skiddish about this election is because I think this election is one of the most important elections for the United States in it's History. If Kerry wins, I think Terrorist organizations will test his mettle very early. And I fear Kerry would put the response to the test in the hands of the UN. And the resolve of the United States should not lie in the hands of other Countries.
