Carlos Boozer headed to LA?
Read This
Interesting to say the least..Boozer might regret leaving Cleveland after all.

RE:Carlos Boozer headed to LA?
I think Boozer has base year issues. He got a big raise this offseason so a direct swap isn't possible.

RE:Carlos Boozer headed to LA?
Boozer would certainly be a much better fit in LA than Odom, who needs to operate with the ball in his hands, and that's difficult on Kobe's team. Lakers easily make the playoffs with that swap, not to mention it frees up some space for Caron Butler (who has game, but has been playing very inconsistently this year since he's the fourth or fifth option on offense each time down the floor).

MAX, there are no base year issues with Boozer. Utah just has to take back salary within 15% of Boozer's big salary(10.96 this year) for a decent but not great player.

Boozer is not in Odom's league, but would be a better fit on....what did 4cwebb call it, "Kobe's team"....the LA Kobe fluffers....

PE is right about BYC not applying. It only applies to players that re-sign with their prior team.

Well we know he has no loyalty so that works out great for him.

I'd rather have Odom over Boozer any day of the week.

David Aldridge mentioned (during the all-star game) that the Lakers and Kings were having talks of a Odom and Peja/B.Jackson swap.

Steve Kerr was actually right, though when he said that out of the hundreds of trade rumors, very few actually became trades.

Ahhh...I found the appropriate thread...
The new rumor is Divac, George, and Butler for Boozer.
The salaries work out on realgm.com. Seems like a good deal for the Lakers, but why does Utah do this deal?

Saves them some money since all the players they would be taking have shorter contracts than Boozer.
Plus from what I've been reading, Kirelenko is having some problems guarding small forwards. Could be because or his health, but it seems that they're in the same position we were in with Dirk last season and they want their best player to play at his natural position. Caron Butler gives them a tough SF that can guard.

I'm glad we had Steve Kerr to point this out to us. My head would have been spinning at the concept of hundreds of players changing teams at the trade deadline.
