Successful Scenario
Due to Dallas and Denver being over the cap, the 25% trade
rule is invoked. Dallas and Denver had to be no more than 125%
plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be
accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the
provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

why dallas does it: Exp contracts and a dominating 2/3 in harrington

Why denver does it: they want fin. cambys contract is just as bad and people love a 7'5 20 yr old

why atl does it: If JJ falls through quis is a good back up plan, plus terry is liked there. they need a true 5 in camby. boykins in insta o

Atlanta would be loaded:

PG-Jason Terry | Earl Boykins
SG-Joe Johnson | Salim Stoudamire
SF- Josh Childress | Marquis Daniels
PF- Josh Smith | Marvin Williams
CT-Marcus Camby | Zaza Pachulia

in that seniro JJ is not with atlanta. For everyone who thinks finley goes foor a return in talent + cap relief without us giving up one of our young studs or two, you need to wake up. I think the "concrete" trade dallas has on the table for fin includes one of our young guns, thats how trades get done in the nba, "you want one of our young studs, take one of our junk contracts" a la TAW. That is the reason dallas has not made the trade yet, if it was just expiring contracts in return the mavs would care less who it was.

I would just like to cut out the other's and do this trade. This would be unreal for us:

PG-Jason Terry | Earl Boykins | Devin Harris
SG-Marquis Daniels | Voshon Lenard
SF-Josh Howard | Jerry Stackhouse
PF-Dirk Nowitzki | Keith Van Horn | Josh Powell
CT-Marcus Camby | Erick Dampier | DJ Mbenga

NBDL: Pavel Podkolzin & Rawle Marshall

That is a giant upgrade for Dallas and there is no need to even spend the MLE thanks to landing Camby.

You could then turn around and trade Devin + Van Horn + Voshon for Pierce + LaFrentz + Banks and you have:

PG-Jason Terry | Earl Boykins | Marcus Banks
SG-Paul Pierce | Marquis Daniels
SF-Josh Howard | Jerry Stackhouse
PF-Dirk Nowitzki | Raef LaFrentz | Josh Powell
CT-Marcus Camby | Erick Dampier | DJ Mbenga

NBDL: Pavel Podkolzin & Rawle Marshall

That is easily the best team in the NBA.

But there is no way that Denver trades their all world defensive center for Finley and Pavel, would be great though.
