"This was the greatest win ever," said Blazers guard Bonzi Wells, who added 16 points. "If you had a tape of those guys' faces, you knew the fight was knocked out of them."


"Not a whole lot to say," Dallas coach Don Nelson said. "Just an old-fashioned butt whoopin'. We were out of it early."


"We couldn't guard them," Mavs guard Steve Nash added. "We gave up 70 in the first half and it's hard to recover. We just played horrible defense. It's not that out of character for us. We have played bad defense all this year."



"Things were happening so quickly," Cheeks said. "That stretch in the second quarter, I didn't even look up at the scoreboard. I just ended up being a fan."
