Do the Rangers get to a 1000 runs scored this season? If so, they would be rated as one of the best of all time. I say yes. Can you imagine how it would feel to get the ball and face this line-up?
DH/LF - Catalanotto
C- Pudge
SS- ARod
RF - Juan Gone
1B - Palmeiro
CF - Everett
LF/DH - Greer
3B - Blalock
2B - M. Young
I bet a lot of pitchers lose a lot of sleep this year in Arlington hotels.
I think the Rangers have a legitimate shot at the wildcard. One more pitcher of quality and I think that they can make a run at the division. It will be very tough though.
I think they have a great chance at a wild card spot.
If they can hold off Oakland for 2nd place behind Seattle, we will be there.
As for 1000 runs, it can be done, but injuries will play a big part in that.
Well, it might not be all THAT great this year. Kaplar will probably play center for most of the year instead of Everett. Palmero may very well continue to decline because of age. Pudge may not recover from his knee injury, or miss significant time. Greer is coming off an injury. Juan Gone has had back problems. Blalock is a rookie... you never know.
