Default Getting our money's worth

Thank God we are finally getting our money's worth out of Steve Nash, Raja Bell, Michael Finley, Nick Van Exel, and Antoine Walker.

They have been worth their weight in gold. It's nice they've all come through for us.

Steve Nash: Again tired down the stretch, still can't play defense.
Raja Bell: Total blockhead. Good 3 shooter, good defender... fragile, though for such a tough guy
Michael Finley: Just can't log the minutes he used to. He attacks the basket like Rain Man attacks a spilled box of toothpicks.
Nick Van Exel: Nick the FAT... and useless.
Antoine Walker: Same bat shots, same bat channel

You can't say we couldn't use Steve Nash... although if we had him our team would be drastically different and i wouldn't change our team for anything... but, if we could simply swap out Devin Harris for Steve Nash, i would do it in a heartbeat. Although, now that I type that I am thinking that Devin has a whole career ahead of him, and Nash only a few more productive years... so i take it all back.

It's amazing how all of these guys are basically left in the dust. We cleaned house, and kept the jewel in Dirk, added some defense and power, kept a bit of our running attack, and now we're 2 wins away from the c hampionship.

We got our moneys worth out of Nash and Finley while they were on the Mavs.

Didn't say we couldn't use him. We can just use Jet more and we're taking full advantage of the weaknesses these guys have that use to hurt us.

Not in the post season we didn't. In that part of the year you need defense. They left quite a bit to be desired. And after the 82-point half against Sac Finley was never heard from again.

Good players for sure. I speak from value preceived from gluttony.. with championship being the measuring stick. It's like a puzzle that all falled into place when the three got broken up. But if you'll allowyourself a moment to digest the real meaning of my post I think you'll see what my point is. Or not...

You think we're a better team with Jet than we would be with Nash?

I think you're all getting your money's worth with Walker since he's been playing stupid thus far....

Definetly. Walker always plays stupid, that's the only thing you can count on from him.

Next time you see Jet playing some defense, let me know so I can see it for myself for the first time. Oh, and let me know when he finds some sort of consistency, too.

I tend to agree with that assessment of Terry's defense, but AJ has specifically mentioned Jet's D as being key to this team on several occasions, and has taken the opportunity to praise him for it.

Most of the time I don't see it, but there must be something there for Avery to keep praising him for it.

But the tradeoff was Dampier. Now, Dampier didn't play in the Phoenix series, but he was important against Duncan and has so far made a fool of Shaq. Since it would be impossible for us to have both Nash and Damp, I would say that we could not use Nash right now.

Yes, because Jet allowed us to afford other players we are really needing right now. Nash is a neato passer, sick lay-up artist, and runs the offense great... but with Jet we've suffered no scoring drop-off from that position, no defensive drop-off, he obviously runs the offense good enough to win an NBA finals, is fresher after more minutes, and he's faster.

Obviously, seeing where we're standing right now, we're a better team with Jet. Much better, and unless we don't extend him, we'll be better longer with him than we would be with Nash.
