Default Technicals for protesting

The games played thus far have had quite a few of these already.
Do you think the mavs will have any players that will be greatly affected.

I'm thinkg Josh and possibly Dirk might. Avery will have to calm those
guy's down.

Players are fined $1,000 for each of their first five technicals,
an amount that increases by $500 for each five after that,
capped by a $2,500 penalty for each one starting with the 16th.

A one-game suspension also comes at that point and for every
other technical thereafter.

I also posted this in a thread in the NBA section but I thought Mavs could be affected
by this new rule. It could be very important late in the year.

If you noticed last year's playoffs, something i was proud of is the fact that our players/coach didn't really show out to the refs. When they don't agree with something, they'll have a reaction, but won't say anything. This new officiating is directed squarely at the Spurs. Duncan, Ginobli, Parker, Bowen, Horry, Barry, Finley(yeah i said it, j/k) always have to say something to the refs.

I watched last nights game Suns and Clips. It seems to me that not all of the players are getting the same treatment. One example, the ball bounces off Marion and between Brands legs and then goes out of bounds. One official calls for the Clips to get the ball then Steve Nash proceeds to act like a jackass jumping and pointing for the ball to go to the Suns right in front of the idiot Suns owner who is screaming at the top of his lungs for it to be Suns ball. The possession goes to the Suns. Did anyone else see this. I mean I have never seen Steve Nash act like such a dummy before.

I just think that this new rule is not going to be too consistant and not all players are going to be treated the same. If Steve Nash can act like he did last night and Shawn Livingston gets a technical in the same game for just holding his arms out in protest then I wouldn't expect Little Timmy Duncan to get a tech for his excessive whining. But on the other hand if Josh bitches like he does he might just get the Rasheed treatment.

The refs still play favorites, so any rule change with the refs you can wipe your ass with. Every time the camera was on D'Antoni he was yelling at the Refs, like always, and they never T him up. So, since the league seems to have an agenda against us, we will have to behave like sunday school, while we watch the other team whine and cry like Timmy. I bet 5 dollars that Timmy gets away with his dufus, crybaby look at the refs tonight.

Does this rule pertain to the coaches too? Like he said D'Antoni was doing his usual which is completly overboard crying.

If the new rule means I won't have to be subjected to seeing the pathetic display of the whiney Spurs standing in line to cry to the refs, then I like it.

It is not like being consistent applying this rule is hard. The refs do have a hard job with the speed of the game and all, but if someones bitching T them up. Its not hard. From what I saw last night the rule is not worth the toilet paper its written on. We shall see tonight with two teams that have a history of being emotional during the game.
