Gotta neuter my dog...
Time for the baxman to get his peter parker'd. Somebody tell me where in Dallas do I get this done...
I've priced my Vet and it ain't gonna happen ($480). I'm sure there is a SPCA or other sponsored clinic in Dallas, but I don't think I want to go that cheap - plus I'm not down with waiting all day with the DMV crowd. Somebody have a really good experience with their vet and want to send a recommendation? We've gotta get this done ASAP... little buddy is trying to make me a grandpa with everything he sees.
thanks.

You could call local shelters or rescue organizations and ask who they recommend (for a discount). Some vets are so passionate about it that they offer super prices.
I've heard of a clinic called Noah's Ark that supposedly is a less expensive clinic across the board. I believe they are near Marsh and the Bush Trpk. I haven't looked them up yet.

There's a cool vet I met through the Plano Animal Shelter, and he has a mobile vet clinic. His rates are really reasonable, and he goes all over the metroplex. Call them and ask them to mail you Dr. Wood's flyer. His clinic (Farmers Branch?) is under construction, so he isn't doing surgeries or anything right now.
Your dog is incredibly adorable! Consider getting him microchipped too!

That's a ridiculous price.. I'll see what I can find out, but I know I paid around 1/4th of that price to get my dog neutered, and it only cost half that for the same procedure on myself...

Sorry... that's a thread hijack.
I don't have a Dog, but I did two years ago and if you are in the Lewisville area I can recommend a great vet. Just PM me....

I think that's the cutest dog I've ever seen! do you live in Dallas? I use a vet in Arlington who is really good and somewhat reasonable. I cried after I had my cat fixed. I'm such a dork. I kept wondering if she felt like she was destined to be a mother and I took that dream away. wow. can't believe I admitted that. I'm a freak over my cat. =)

you could always let him spend a few hours with a spurs fan. with their whining, im sure the neutering would happen naturally.

Don't use CityVet on McKinney Ave in Dallas--they screwed up my dog so bad it cost over $800 when it was all said & done--stitches came out, incision got infected...bad news.
I do highly recommend Dr. John Sohmer for any and all veterinary needs--http://housecallvet.com/. He comes to your house, and only charges a few dollars more than the vet I used to go to for the visit--and less for meds & tests if they're needed. And he's a total straight-shooter--when my dog was on his last legs, he basically told me straight, instead of trying to keep him alive with a few more months of medicine which would have ultimately just prolonged the agony.
He doesn't do surgery at your house, of course--he does that at a clinic in Plano somewhere--but he is by far the best vet I've ever had, and I've had at least one pet for my entire 30+ years (currently have four). tell him Bob & Robin Smith referred you if he asks.

Thanks for all the responses. So yeah, uh... I never messed with his twig and berries - and now I want to put them to good use. So how do I find a Yorkie bitch so he can get his swerv on? What else should I know about the breeding process? I don't really want to complicate things, I just want him to start earning his keep. Do I just take him over to somebody's house for a "play date" and then charge by the hour? or do I charge by the deed?
I need answers for this guys sake -
