Thread Worthy?
Every time somebody plays thread police, I am going to post a useless thread. All you folks who bitch about people's threads are only increasing the visibility of that thread by adding to the post count. So keep your thoughts to your therapist and your mother.

Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with the board moderators before you type such a thing.
And this certainly wasn't thread worthy, as it has absolutely nothing to do with the Dallas Mavericks.
The board isn't your own personal chalkboard.
If you just had to post this, it could've gone in the Lounge.
But thanks for another thread....we totally needed it.

Then you'll get yourself banned very quickly. There are reasons people shouldn't clutter the board with unnecessary threads.

There really needs to be some sort of minimum post + rep point minimum to post a new thread.

Yeah, you have to have 12 green bars and 6000 posts. So that excludes the both of us.

Works for me. I know we're not so lazy that we can't find a thread to express our opinions rather than just starting a new thread every time with a short poorly punctuated sentence.

Maybe we're being too cynical around here lately...
We need the playoffs to get cranking.

Yeah I have noticed some people are sort of thread nazi's here.
They say "post more and don't make threads"
You can't have posts without threads!
But I'll try to put myself in their shoes.
Thread 1
Thread 2
Thread 3
Thread 4
I just came on the dallas-mavs forum and there are 4 threads to chose from, my life is absolutely ruined.

post your opinion in the 5000+ threads that have been active this year. Every thought your have doesnt have to be its own thread. Its more of a consideration for others thing than a Nazi calling. Many members here view this site like a news site and want to see the top discussion issues. More of us just are here for the discussion and having 14 different threads on the Warriors makes debate difficult on the subject.
And if a thread died, there is a reason for it. If its still good, bump it. Just dont create an identical one.
As I said, its not a law just like covering your mouth when you cough in public isnt a law-- but its common courtesy.

Yep. It also bumps other topics to the second and third pages way too early.

I don't post new threads because i'm scared someone will beat me...
But really, a lot of crap people post don't deserve new threads (old "repped up" members not excluded). I think it will get even worse around playoff time, especially as the finals approach... just a prediction.

Yep, it's only going to get worse. When the trolls start coming along there will be tons of terrible new threads.

Kind of proving the point. Dumb threads will always exist - kind of like stupid people. The key is to not give them any attention.
I don't mind so much. If the topic doesn't look interesting - SKIP!
