This can't be good.

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) — MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) — Two days before New Hampshire's Democratic primary, Sen. Barack Obama has opened a double-digit lead over Sen. Hillary Clinton in that state, a new CNN-WMUR poll found Sunday.
Obama, the first-term senator from Illinois who won last week's Iowa caucuses, led the New York senator and former first lady 39 percent to 29 percent in a poll conducted Saturday and Sunday — a sharp change from a poll out Saturday that showed the Democratic front-runners tied at 33 percent.
Former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina is at 16 percent in the new survey, down four points from Saturday. Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico is in fourth place, with the support of 7 percent of likely New Hampshire Democratic primary voters, with Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio at 2 percent.

A rumor that John Kerry will soon be endorsing Barack Obama popped up the blogosphere, as CNN reports that Obama has picked up his Iowa bounce and has jumped ahead of Clinton in NH.
I’m not sure how much weight the rumor holds, that Kerry will endorse Obama soon, other than it may just be some conventional wisdom at this point (which I will explain below). But here’s what Al Giordano is reporting over at The Field:

In certain circles the clinton political hit machine has a reputation for being very effective.

In all seriousness, at what point do they officially start getting secret service protection? After the party nomination?

there is a committee of officials who decide is someone gets secret service protection, and I recall that all major announced candidates get it. not sure when it starts...
I remember that obama got protection last spring, and it was said at the time it was one of the earliest points in time for a candidate.
clinton gets protection being a former first lady.

me too.....
.....I just saw a video of hillary getting all choked up. it was a frightening scene....seeing her get emotional looked kind of like what i imagine it might have looked like if the mother creature from Aliens had gotten a little teary...or perhaps try to picture HAL from 2001 getting emotional....its a frightening, surreal and unnatural scene.
anyhoo....i really thought hillary's organization would win the day, and i'm still not convinced it won't....but obamania exceeds my earlier expectation.

I am in no way sexist and I think women are completely capable of running the country.. but didn't it unsettle a few of you the way that losing a poll this early caused a possible future president to tear and choke up?
