This is all a social experiment on how long we will support Dirk. Chum fails the experiment as he fails at life, but the rest of us pass for now.

the experiment will be released in a study later this year by Baylor sociologists.

Actually, it's a thought experiment on how much we *did* support Nash, and how we felt about his departure.

Many people on this board have pointed out how we got better when Nash left. I know that it SEEMS counterintuitive, but imagine how much better we could get if only Dirk would leave. Josh Howard, for example, is waiting in the wings and is presently held back by Dirk.

I know that it would be sad to see Dirk go somewhere else and maybe win an MVP or two, but if that's what it takes to bring Josh Howard around...I guess you have to do it.

Again, I know that it seems ridiculous to you, but imagine that Josh Howard was "the man" on this team and Dirk wasn't around. Would we be better?

I don't think so. I also don't think we got better because Nash left, but because nellie left.

Although nellie is a good coach, his time had come and I still don't think he focuses on defense enough to be a consistent contender.

That's probably not a bad point. Dirk needs the ball in his hands to score. Nash needed the ball in his hands to score, or he needed to deliver the ball to someone else who could easily score.

Faz will never make it here as long as long as Dirk needs to touch the ball in order to score.
