Spurs Offer Delfino 2 year contract?
From an Argentian Newspaper:
http://www.ole.clarin.com/notas/2008.../01706524.html
It says the Spurs offered Delfino a 2 year contract. His agent is studying it and apparently asking for 3 years.

So it's the Spurs or Europe for him.
That seems kind of much to ask for a 3 year for someone who is pretty close to being completely out of the league.

Delfino would make more in Europe if he chose to leave the NBA. Too lazy, but did he win a ring in Detroit? If not and he decides to stay, I would give him props.

I don't think he won a ring...not too sure, but I would lean towards no.

He knows he can make more in Europe but I bet Ginobli and Oberto can help persuade him to come to SA.
It looks like they're offering him the LLE while they throw the whole MLE at Maggette (or someone else if he says no. Maybe Pietrus or JR Smith?).
Possible lineup:
Oberto-Thomas-Mahinmi
Duncan-Bonner-Horry (?)
Bowen-Udoka-Gist (?)
Maggette-Ginobli-Delfino
Parker-Hill-Vaughn
That leaves a spot for Horry (who wants to return) and probably whatever rookie (Hairston or Gist) impresses the most. They get younger while addressing the needs of a young backup pg, young big man, and younger swingman. Hell, even if they get Pietrus instead of Maggette that's a hell of a roster.
That leaves Barry and Finley in a new uniform. I haven't heard a word on Finley but the Lakers and Rockets are making a push for Barry.

Looks like Finley might have to hope Phoenix comes calling or call it a career.

I think Fin is waiting it out with the Spurs and see what they're going to do. HE still has some game left. I expect to see him on a contender next offseason.

I guess they could possibly put up the first all international NBA team on the floor at the same time:
Duncan: Virgin Islands
Oberto: Argentina
Manu: Argentina
Delfino: Argentina
Parker: France

So Delfino has decided to go to Europe. About 10 million dollars a year for 3 years.
Also, Ricky Davis is close to playing in Europe as well.

Ricky Davis is Europe...wow. I didn't see that one coming.
That deal Delfino is probably better than what he would get in the states.
