Default McCain Staffer mugged, has a 'B' carved into her face?

Careful with your campaign stickers I guess, this is very unfortunate....

McCain staffer says she was mugged, had 'B' cut into face
Thursday, October 23, 2008
By Michael A. Fuoco, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Pittsburgh Police are investigating a report by a campaign staffer for John McCain that she was mugged and the letter B was cut into her face following a robbery in Bloomfield last night.

Police say the 20-year-old woman, who is from Texas, reported that the attack occurred after she withdrew money from an ATM at Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street.

She said a man armed with a knife demanded her money. She gave it to him and began walking toward her car, which has McCain stickers.

Although the robber had moved away from her, he became agitated when he saw her car, punched her in the back of the head, pushed her to the ground and carved a B into her face, she reported.

Police said the woman declined medical treatment at the scene.
More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

F'in F........

Photo of her face

Bad bruises, but at least it looks like she should be without scars since it wasn't very deep.

Did the attacker say she was being attacked because she had a McCain sticker? What is the upside down B supposed to stand for? Barack?

Remember, this is one nut job. Not the entire Democratic party.

The reports say that the attacker became angry when he saw her republican bumper sticker.
This is a nutjob, and his actions should not be generalized to an entire political party.
Only the mainstream media and Barack Obama are allowed to do that.

a couple right wing blogs (michellemalkin for one) are questioning whether this is legit. The 'B' is backward, they say, and looks like it was carved while looking into a mirror.

Carving letters into white folks faces. Sounds like the Obama led black nationalist movement Josh Howard wants so bad is kicking it into high gear.

I don't believe the race of the ...ahem..."gentleman" who did the mugging has been identified.

It's just one singular wacko, anyway.

In all fairness, before any judgement is passed, we need clearer details.

Either this victim was attacked by one wacko...or this victim is a victim of her own doing.

Either way we are talking about one person and not a group.

As for our respective 'Groups' - we fall onto different political and social beliefs and we tend to not like the other side.

However, unlike many other nations...we have found a way to live in peace within this democracy. We can only hope that regardless of how this election goes, we can continue to live up to that democracy.

Perhaps that is why we have message boards...a place where we can vent appropriately or not, and then we can go home and be down right neighborly to one another.

At the end of the day, I don't believe that any of us here, regardless of how much we dislike or hate the other side, we are not going to break laws against each other. For what it's worth, we live with a certain level of faith...

Beit faith in each other, our nation, our science, our creator...there is something that keeps us from having anarchy.

I hope this victim and her perpetrator get some recovery help and I hope that neither side politicizes what happened. This is an isolated incident and unless we see more should be left alone.

Aggies. Can't live with 'em . . .

Quote:
PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police say a McCain campaign volunteer who said she was held down by a black man who cut the letter "B" in her face has changed her story.

Police spokeswoman Diane Richard says investigators gave the 20-year-old woman a lie-detector test and are "looking at some inconsistencies" in her story.

The student, Ashley Todd, of College Station, Texas, initially said a black man robbed her at knifepoint Wednesday night and then cut her cheek after seeing a McCain sticker on her car.

Police say bank surveillance footage doesn't show her at an ATM where she says she was attacked.

Todd, who is white, now says she was knocked unconscious and doesn't remember being cut. She now says she only discovered the wound later.

No arrests have been made.

Ah, she made it up. Lovely. What a nut.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.

Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car.

Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test.

Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test.

Investigators did say that they received photos from the ATM machine and "the photographs were verified as not being the victim making the transaction."

This afternoon, a Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Todd confessed to making up the story.

The commander added that Todd will face charges; but police have not commented on what those charges will be.

According to police, investigators working on the interview process detected several inconsistencies in Todd's story that differed from statements made in the original police report.

Pittsburgh Police Public Information Officer Diane Richard released a statement earlier today, saying: "Because of the inconsistencies in her statements, Ms. Todd was asked to submit to a polygraph examination which she agreed to do."

No photos of Todd are being released by Pittsburgh Police at this time.

The investigation is continuing as officials determine what charges will be filed.
If, of course, this is accurate, I kinda hope it scars.

I'd bet good money that she got her black eye after the Cowboys lost to St Louis...

She probably thought that scratching a "B" into her face and blaming it on Obama-supporters would be more believable than using the "falling down the stairs" excuse for the millionth time...

Thing is, why a B instead of an O? Os are much easier to scratch into your face through a mirror.

Scratching an O through a mirror would be really hard for an Aggie because she'd have to scratch it backwards.

This is an odd feeling: simultaneously feeling hope because people are not truly that cruel and despair because people are truly that dumb.

edit...yup a quick check is revealing as much, but yesterday it wasn't news. The liberal media is so pinche chistoso.

Sike carved a rightwards L on Flaco's forehead and then accused Flaco of being a dumb Aggie to preemptively discredit him.

Sike is an evil genius.

That's sick. Lying on a black man? Disgusting. I hope she gets 10 years in prison. It should be mandatory that anyone who lies about being attacked, raped or shot should get a minimum 10 years in prison. I wonder how many people are locked up right now who didn't actually commit the crime.

I'm just gonna guess that Faux News will ignore this story lol. Ridiculous.

Fox News reported it as a fake faster than anyone else I saw.

As for the rest of your comments, what if she had "lied on" a white man? Would that make what she did less offensive?

her punishment should be that she has to spend the rest of her college experience living in college station and attending all her classes at tamu.

or would that be "cruel and unusual punishment"?

As for the rest of your comments, what if she had "lied on" a white man? Would that make what she did less offensive?
MSNBC reported it as fake first, I think, but all did it quickly enough.

Fox News also said that if it was a hoax, then McCain's campaign was done.

Less offensive? I don't know I guess not. The reason why I said "black man" is because this could've potentially started a race war. Had this been a white man then you don't have a potential race war on your hands. I'm already seeing people refer to Obama as a "monkey". You're already seeing the ugly side of people with a black man running for president as it is. Things will get ugly once Obama is president. I just hope it doesn't get too ugly. This little hoax could've started something where a lot of people gotten hurt.

You don't think highly of the average American, do you?

There have been bozos, there are bozos, and there will always be bozos. Stuff like this doesn't turn average Americans into bozos to where you have nationwide riots and "ugliness." It just gives the bozos an excuse to be bozos. The rest of us stay the same.

I've seen the average american become ugly these past couple of months. The ugliness has always been there but they've had enough sense to atleast hide it. Now they're making it public. I mean what other instance have you ever seen an idiot carve a B in her face and blame it on a black man? You're taking it to a completely different level when you'd hurt yourself just to get someone else in trouble.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT RACE. The part she pathetically wanted people to take away from her farce was political, not racial.

Good Lord Almighty there are people out there just watching for it like hawks, looking for any excuse to turn something racial. That is sad. I'm not sure who these average americans are that you've seen become racist recently, but they must have escaped my notice.

You don't need to watch for it like a hawk. Especially when its being thrown at you like like a 95 mph fastball.

Quote:
Police said she described the attacker as black, about 6-foot-4, and said he was wearing dark-colored jeans and a black tank top. She said he had a knife with a 5-inch blade and ran from the scene on foot, Harper said.
I guess she just said he was black for the hell of it. You say it isn't about race but she made it about race when she lied about a "black man" attacking her. Wake up. Racism is still out there and its visible enough to where you can pick up a remote and see it on TV.

Do I need to go any further?

They asked for a description, and she had to make a story. She didn't go out of her way to make an "Ooh, ooh, I know! It was a black man!" sideswipe.

People love to feel like victims.

I hope I can be a victim some day.

Anyway, that girl is a dumb biotch.
