Really hope we win since we have @ San Antonio the following night... which I hope we win as well because they look very mediocre w/o Manu and Oberto! (Roger Mason seems to have been a nice find though)
Here's to the Mavs being 3-1 in 48 hours!

If we win this game, it will be huge for the momentum leading into tuesday.
Mavs 103
Cavs 90

I can't really root for any team to win this game.
Lebron is my favorite player not on the Nets and I can't help the fact liking Kidd a little still, and Kidd is the only reason I cheer for Mavericks
so hope Lebron and Kidd both have great games

I wonder if Jet starts tonight. Delonte West is the starting SG for the Cavs. If Carlisle is giving any thought to trying Jet out in the starting lineup, tonight would be the night.

From Sefko's article this morning:
Quote:
Stack looking for the stroke: The first two games have not been kind to Jerry Stackhouse.
The veteran swingman is 2-for-11 from the field and was pulled from Saturday's win over Minnesota with 8:27 to go in the third quarter and did not return.
Stackhouse has always been a streaky player. Two games is not nearly enough time to draw any conclusions.
The Mavericks have ridden out cold stretches before and benefited when Stackhouse heated up. He's still capable of carrying a team at times.
Stackhouse has always found a way to finish somewhere around his 41-percent career shooting norm. And being 1-0 as a starter means Stackhouse will probably get chances to break loose in the coming games.
|
"Hels still capable of carrying a team at times"....um...I'm sorry....what?
Stack definitely has times where he's going good, which means he's actually making shots and he does distribute the ball well at times. But carry a team? Oh my goodness.

I really think some of these people base their opinions off of a team they haven't watched in about 4 years.

One would hope the Mavs' beat write for the DMN would have a better grasp of the situation....but apparantly not.

The Cavs are a good team we need to play hard and get this win. Go to the rim Mavs especially in the 4th

My thoughts exactly. 6'2" vs. 6'8" is my kind of mismatch. Nellie style.

ok, we've talked about the problem of evil, and the extent of the atonement's application, but my real question to you is, "Could Jesus dunk?"

The only "hope" we would have had for this is that perhaps Sefko was so terrible that they would have fired him and replaced him with ANYONE ELSE in the off season.

I think they both will play about even, like both good in the ways they play. But hey I really, don't care it's only like the beginning of the season if it was the playoffs then I would say I want Lebron to play better, but that's only because I don't want Kidd to get a ring, I know I'm a bitter person, but I know how Raptor Fans feel about Vince now, because I feel the same way about Kidd.

Welcome to the Dallas Mavericks' basketball forum, where Jason Kidd is the starting point guard of our team.

btw guys.. new power rankings are up
http://www.nba.com/powerrankings/
10th is not bad considering we're higher than some +.500 teams. They could have easily put us lower.

Just force Lebron to shoot bricks and we win. He still doesn't have a consistent jump shot. That means Damp and Diop gotta controls da paint.
