Postgame Thread: Mavs win a nail-biter over the Jazz
This game was much closer than it should have been - our bench kept trying to kill us, but Dirk wouldn't let them...
31 points on 10-12 shooting (3-4 from beyond the arc) and 15 rebounds.

I don't know why...but i really kinda feel like the Mavs deliberately let the Jazz back into the game.. It's weird. Good win!

Who was it that was trying to convince me that Dirk can't rebound anymore?

Gotta give Dirk credit, he was pretty friggin' dominant tonight. And at least Terry finally woke up in the end, that was a pretty money three he hit to ice the game.

I had Utah +6 (not because I thought they'd win, just thought it'd be close). So Dirk missed that last FT for me. Sorry guys.

To deny the Jazz their biggest comeback when they had in their hands (not that any team really has anything in their hands when playing against Dirk) is almost as sweet as a good ol' fashioned blow-out of said team. Great win!

Deron Williams is a beast. The rest of the Jazz can suck it.
Dirk <3.

Fantastic game for Dirk. He was very aggressive and he really rebounded well tonight.

That reminds me of those great gambling moments that Bill Simmons brings up where some team will cover by a miracle at the end.

Dirk answered those rebounding woes with 25 in the last two games.

Exactly. Unfortunately I don't even win since it ended up at 6....but not losing is a kind of victory, right?

I guess im a hater.
Terry had a terrible game and shouldnt be at all in the game anymore after the 2nd or 3rd quarter. Thats exactly the Terry that killed us in the past playoff series. Because there he cant make up a crappy game with 2-3 shots at the end.
So im not celebrating Terry.
Dirk, Stevenson and Butler ftw...

I like how Barea couldn't be found in the city of Dallas in the 2nd half.

Glad that Terry hit the last shot but mad he was even on the floor in the 4th.
Dirk is just awesome, MVP! Butler had a great game and a clutch rebound at the end, weird he didn´t had any touches in the 4th...
Chandler was ok, Haywood solid!
Jazz played great, especially Williams but also Terry, Barea and Marion!
Escaped, pheww... that was close!
P.S.: Great to hear that Jazz Announcers said that the MVP goes to work (when Dirk made the and-1) and that Superman lives in Dallas, not Orlando!

Why are yall talking rebounds when we can talk about Dirk shooting a sizzling 70% FG from the floor over the last 5 games?

Clearly you don't understand gambling if you think I was "betting against the Mavs."

don't forget he also had that key defensive play at the end where he tipped the ball away on the fast break. he won this game for us at the end. i give props to jet. he could have realized he was having a bad game and just gave up and stopped shooting like you all wanted him to, in which case we may have lost this game. jet has heart and confidence and will never give up.

Jazz fans complaining about the refs giving it to Dirk when Williams made 8 and-1´s with some miracle calls...

Next time Terry misses 3-4 shots in a row, people will be calling for his head again. Then he'll nail another crunch-time jumper and people will forget.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

That said, if those first quarter points don't happen, the Mavs don't win either. Crunch or not, they all count the same.

Also true.
I'm starting to become very concerned with Kidd's 3 ball. His percentage is way down and some of them are really, really bad misses.
