PGT: 2-2, 102 degrees ain't enough Heat to stop Dirk down the stretch!
Great team effort - Rick Carlisle adjusted well enough.

That is all.

Quiet. What's that you hear? All these effing doubters, mainly in the media but some of you guys here. But you know what? The Mavs came back on these bitch ass divas. The ball does not lie. The Mavs play the game the right way, while the flopping divas try to cheat their way to victory.
BALLS. The Mavs have them!

I can't believe we just won this game. This is one that could come back to haunt the Heat.
Let's take advantage of this, boys.

wow. butler out. haywood unable to play. dirk with a fever. these mavs showed heart today. lots of it.
now lets take the lead in this series next game. we saw a lot of things on offense that could work against the heat - we had a lot of open shots rim out (and dirk would usually make 9 more points from the shots he took today).

The old Dirk does a fade-away, but this MVP Dirk will take your ass to the bucket. And I LOVE YOU TYSON CHANDLER. That is all.

If the Mavs just played with half the intensity they play with in their 4th quarter comebacks earlier, things would be a lot easier.
Notice how Mini-Me barely saw the court in the 4th? And *gasp*, Jet actually did quite a big of running the offense, and did it well...hmm...

Just imagine if the mavs had managed to steal last game. This series would be completely different now. MAN I'm pumped!

this team never ceases to blow my mind. dirk sick, cold shooting, and they still find a way to pull it out. HUGE credit to tyson, marion, and deshawn, and of course dirk for finding a way in crunch time.
<3 you forever mavs

This was one of the most inspirational Mavs games I've ever seen. The whole team pitched in...nobody quit...the heart, the effort, the desire. Amazing.

Dirk is a real fighter... I called him out, and rightly so, but he came through, again. And now that his worst game of the series is over, there's no stopping the uberman.

Gotta love GDT's so full of roller coaster emotion and give up.....as many times as we have seen this team come back, you would think they should know better

I'm done. Tonights stat of the day:
@dallasmavs in the Clutch: DefEff: 77.16 and outscoring opp by +77.16 pp100. Even the mighty @MiamiHeat can't match that

fixed it for you
great, great game. I never doubted Dirk. I was a bit surprised about his game until Doris said that he has the flu. Then I really prayed that the rest of the team would step up. And they did. Terry, Chandler... good effort and great hustle.

Glad Chandler showed up tonight. And show up he did. The dude was a beast on the offensive boards, and pulled down 16 boards in all. We don't win without him anchoring the middle for 43 minutes. Give him credit for taking the extra workload with Haywood's injury still bothering him.
Terry wasn't great tonight, but he did have some timely baskets that sparked our run in the fourth quarter. Wish he would have hit a few of those shots late in the quarter, but at least he got those final two free throws.
And Dirk like always finished like a beast, despite battling a rough fever. I thought he had a really rough start to the game (let a few Heat players get by him for easy offensive rebounds and was burned by Bosh a few times), but now that I know the cause I give him a bit of a pass there. Plus the fact that he managed to pull down 11 rebounds after going forever without a single rebound is a pretty gutty effort when you consider what he was fighting. And that layup was just more clutch greatness from Dirk.
Why did Marion spend so much time on the bench in the fourth? Not sure how much I agree with that decision by Carlisle (especially after Stevenson's boneheaded foul), but I suppose it worked out. I thought Marion provided a big boost on the offensive end at times.
