GDT: Dallas @ Philly........
The Mavs are rolling and this will be another big W if we get it.
Our guard situation is a little tough now...but I think VC and Lamar Odom can take care of some of the play making if needed.
Lets just keep on rollin boyz and finish strong goin into AS break....GOOOO MAVS

Were Jet and/or Roddy B expected back for this game? Or are they both considered game time decisions?

JET was preemptively listed as out for this game for personal reasons (not the injury), even before Wednesday. Roddy no idea, but I can't imagine he'll be quite ready to go yet....

This is usually where I say "easy win", but since jet roddy and west are all gone now, I'll just say
mildly difficult win.

Marion-Iggy should be an interesting matchup.

gt take care of the ball. Philly isnt really especially good at anything other than not throwing the ball away. So... as long as we limit stupid turnovers we should be ok.

If Cheats won against PHI, twice by 20pts, we should win by even 1.
So only WIN, go Mavs!

Can anybody chime in and discuss the Sixers right now? The record shows they have improved, but what is different about them?

Looking forward to this one. Philly's a nice (albeit not great) team with a pretty good home record.

One of the best benches, specially scoringwise (Williams, Young, Turner). Our lack of guard depth will definatly hurt us this game.
Hawes was absolutly rocking before his injury (averaging 10/8/2.5/1.5 in 27min)
Sixers are 12-2 with Hawes and 8-8 without him.

What's different? Their schedule.
They beat the Hawks twice, Orlando once, Chicago once, the Lakers once and Indy once - all the rest of their wins came against teams that won't even sniff the playoffs...

No, Hawes is clearly their MVP.

This could be a bit tough, they are athletic all over the court so we need great energy to match that. Might be difficult with an older short handed team.
Kidd is key, he needs to take care of the ball because they will kill us in transition. Hopefully Dojo can give us something cause Vince and Kidd can't go all game.

@Philly is a very tough one much less with our backcourt depleted (JET, West, Roddy?). Good GPS game.
Go Mavs.

Needed with the backcourt down 3 bodies. VC played some PG with the Nets behind Kidd. NJ never thought it needed to spend for a backup PG. If we can get 32 minutes from Dojo that would be huge for both Kidd and VC. Philly's going to try and push the tempo to siphon the gas out of our tanks early. We just have to force them into a street fight, half court playoff type game.

Philly has a fantastic bench, they play good defense, and they don't turn the ball over.
Hawes really was beasting before he went down.

BTW, noon game vs. NY is also bad for us. Dirk usually sucks big time when playing so early...

Sixers are really good this year. So, do the Mavs put Marion on Holiday or Iggy?

I don't think anyone in the Mavs locker room gives a crap about the .500 Knicks or Jeremy Lin tonight.
We're a veteran team, not a bunch of East Coast reporters grasping at straws to pull NYC out of basketball irrelevance...

I think I've heard enough about Jeremy Lin. What the outside media should be covering is Marion's blanket defense on point guards and our winning record of 19-11. The guy wasn't mentioned at all on ESPN's game preview. Horribly underrated.

Never been there, but I've heard this from just about everyone I know who has, so I'm starting to wonder if its "rating" isn't slowly falling in line with the apparently low quality of the city.

Dirk looks like injured. Can't score, play no defense, lose ball after rebound,...
