Refs were overall just absolute horseshit...first half more against the Bulls, 2nd half against us with some really terrible stuff in the 4th quarter crunchtime...
Im playing the Bucks spread tomorrow, we gonna have dead legs against a young athletic team

Quite some action for a Tuesday.
Monta with some big clutch points, but I 38 points and one assist is not the Have It All I'd like to see. If Heinrich doesn't commit that stupid foul, Ellis would have been one of the main reasons we lost.

To defend Monta, he did have to do it all. They were swarming him and many times his only option was pulling up or taking it in. Bulls defended the pass REALLY well.

This game will be remembered by old, wise fans and told to young generations 20 years from now when the NBA has long been gone....

You make it sound like Ellis purposely didn't get his teammates involved. He has been taking what the defense gives him all season. And in this game, the defense couldn't handle him.

Ellis was huge. Dirk was strong when it mattered. I'm very pleased to have guys like Barea and Harris on the second unit.
Even Crowder's 9 seconds were great.
Are we gonna see a Jefferson squirrel this season? I have a feeling it might happen. The old man looked useful tonight.

I was a little worried about those Parsons free throws at the end but he sucked it up and nailed them both. Great team win.

A couple of players deserve honorable mention.
Harris and Parsons both had arguably their best games of the season. And Dirk with ten assists show that the Mavs really play as a team.

The last time Dirk had ten assists was when God was a boy.
Actually it was March 2010 against Denver.

We beat the refs! I mean bulls! This was a solid team win. The kind that can get this squad to be confident on the road a whole lot more.

Man Harris was 6 for 6 or something from three then monta had (took) it all.

I thought he reverted back to the "bad" GSW Monta a little bit in regulation today, including selfish play and an absolute brainfart when he took the layup while down three with four seconds left and no timeout remaining. That should have cost the game, but Heinrich stepped in with even greater nonsense of his own.
OT 4-7 + late Freebies for 12 clutch points, brilliant though. Two late FTs by Parsons was bis as well for him I think.

Agree. I would like to see more ball movement at the end of games, but rick is smarter than I am so I'll take it.

I think this kind of WIN goes a long way for a team still developing that tricky thing called team chemistry.
Also think this game could be big for Parsons. Really solid effort tonight.

And then you look at the boxscores after such an hard-earned win and realize that every other West team has also won. Crazy shit.

So much went on in this game that my mind is scrambling to remember it all.
Parsons was also really, really good defensively for most of the game. As the games go on, you can tell his early woes were conditioning related. He also has one of the best pump fakes in the league.

Fun game, great win. It will hopefully serve them well in close games down the road, so they don't look like last year's Mavs in those situations.

Jefferson more minutes than Aminu just for floor spacing or more than that? Jefferson looked comfortable out there by me. Had good ball movement.

Great win on the road against a tough opponent. Loved seeing Parsons step up and knock down those two fts to ice it...

Obviously Ellis was huge, and both Parsons and Dirk (double-double!) contributed mightily to this win, but I gotta give some props to Devin Harris as well... Dude scored 20 points on 7-10 shooting and nailed 6-6 from beyond the arc, while also contributing 8 assists, 4 rebounds and a steal. Most of that came in the 2nd quarter, which gave us enough of a pad to absorb Chicago's 2nd half rally.
