Does this team have a better chance than the 2011 one to win it all? (I know, we already won in 2011, the probability is 1. but you all understand. )

I'd say no because the West is so deep.

No because they don't have as good of a defense and they're horrendous on the defensive glass.

+Elis is an allstar
+we can play defense for spells

-West is ridiculous
-our rebounding isn't fantastic
-our overall defense needs a lot of work.
-our offense still needs to gel so we can still be good offensively against tough defenses like the Grizzlies.


If we can play the defense that we played the last few minutes of the Bulls and Bucks games for more than 3-4 min, then we may have a chance, but I think the league is much stronger. We could face a serious contender in every round of the playoffs, which is just silly. Every round will be a dogfight.

My gut still says this is probably a 2nd-round type of team, but I will say that the zone defense looks a lot better now than it did for the first 10 or 12 games. If we could get the defense to like 15th or better, anything can happen.

I have faith in Rick, Dirk, and Chandler to get it done, but we have a LONG way to go. At least we still have 62 games and an allstar break to figure it out.
