Mavs have exactly 20 games left. 1.5 games behind Denver for the 8th seed.

Man what a test for this young team....7 out of last 9 on the road and the 4 at home before the last 9 are Warriors, Clips, Raptors and Thunder. And one of the 2 home games in the last 9 is the Spurs.

If this team makes the POs it will be one hell of a feat.
Everything to win and nothing really to lose....gonna be fun the rest of the way.

Yeah, we pretty much have to be one of the hottest teams in the league to make the playoffs at this point... But if that does happen, I guarantee you GSW would rather face Denver or Portland in the first round, since they know better than anyone what can happen when a seemingly-dominant 1st seed plays a young, red-hot 8th seed that has nothing to lose...I want to see Seth nailing those B-Diddy halfcourt buzzer beaters!

I'd almost have to say the next 3 games are the only ones that will put pressure on the Mavs. It would be disappointing if we lose any of those games considering how well we have played.
Those games could be telling as to whether we are just going through a hot spell or are for real. If the Mavs are as good as I think they are these should be 3 blowout wins.

12-8/11-9 . Schedule gets harder after the next 3 games. 4 game roadtrip, then come home to play Warriors, Raptors, Clippers, and pissed off Westbrook/Thunder.

Might as well have add it being a scoreboard watching thread too. Thunder are turning into the blunder. And perhaps does seem realistic for them to drop. To where 7 and 8 seed open up. All Mavs gotta do is try for the best win streak they can go for.

Whether they hold onto 7 seed (probably), Russell will only start to dwindle out. The amount of energy he uses, they will get smoked in the playoffs. Something tells me theyll end up playing Durant.

My logical analysis says 12-8, but we are playing so damn well right now, I'm not sure I know the ceiling of this thing. I just want to roll in to the playoffs as a hot team. Would it not be amazing to pay the Warriors back for 2007?

Looking at the blazers remaining schedule, they should finish strong. Spurs twice, rockets once, and those are their hardest games left.

My heart won't be broken if we miss the playoffs this year but I think the guys we already have here benefiting from the chase might bring a bigger overall reward than limping to the finish and getting a pick 2-3 spots higher. Listening to Nerlens talking about playing in meaningful games, you'd think he was exonerated from death row.

I guess we're actually tied for 10th in losses, but we're 1-2 against the pups so far, which I think is the tie-breaker. So...10th instead of 9th.

Bolded are possibilities depending on our record. Highly unlikely, but we could go as high as the 8th seed. More likely, we end up in the 8-12 worst spots.

Looking like 8-10. 6 or 7 looks unlikely unless the Kings and/or Knicks go on some sort of win streak. Wolves, Hornets, NO all still vying for playoff spots for now.

Yes for sure. 2 of the 3 cups last year before the best player got injured right before the playoffs. They have a better team this year too, they just need to get more people out to watch them. It for sure cushions the blow of a long offseason without the MAvs.

Grizzlies are great defensively without Parsons. They're the tupe of team who will keep us under 94 and we don't win those ones

I predict 4-2, but I desperately want 2-4 for our pick

We could conceivably lose all of those! I'm excited!

We lost tonight btw, Steph isn't going to let little brother win and Klay will put up 40 on us (as good 2s typically do).

With 3-3 being a best case scenario. Mavs know they are out of the playoff race, and they will keep fighting. Sometimes youre just not that good.
