GDT game 66 - Mavs (28-37) at Raptors (38-28) 6:30 FSSW
Mavs start a rough stretch on the road
Injuries
Barea - hamstring - probable
Noel - knee soreness - out.
Noel's knees starting to be a real issue.
Time to start a new winning streak-- or a losing streak. Whichever.

How many more games of Noel missing from this "not serious" knee injury till we should worry? I mean, I like getting a higher pick as much as anyone and Noel helps us win so there is a positive to him sitting. Then again I've had my fill of knee injuries to the Mavericks.

When one game out turns into the 3, is when I worry. He's scrawny so I hope this offseason he hits the gym, strengthens the legs and bulks up some.

Well he's most likely done for the season, they arent going to risk the knee(serious) injury.
At least the team can most likely accept they wont make playoffs.
Bummer. Im back to pre trade feelings. We suck without a capable center.

Not done for the season.
Also, if we win a cpl of these games we may not supposed to be winning, including tonight things are turned back into hopeful. Still a tad too early to write off...but it's getting close.

He missed 3 games and you are literally the only one saying he's out for the season.

If Barnes and Dirk score for a combined 41+ tonight. Then it's definitely a win.

The puny Dinos are no match for the rejuvenated T-Dirk... another double-double for the Mavs' "Dinosaur 41", and a Titanosaur win for Dallas....
Mavs - 107
Dinos - 103

What's the point of him playing the last 15 games that we aren't making playoffs and risk his knee? He already has a history so at this point I don't see why you play him.

If Mavs can just keep Dirk and Barnes worked around the offense then the lead can keep going

So now you're saying that you weren't saying that he is out but that he should be?
If his knee is that at risk, then we should dump him. We traded three second rounders and Anderson for him. We spent assets on him. I want him learning our system, playoffs or not. It's all about the future and obviously Mavs training staff and Rick don't think he's so made of glass that they can't play him.

That corner 3 has been like a layup for DFS for the past few games tbh

And Wes limps off the floor. Gee, nobody could have guess THAT would have happened. And it's Rick's fault for playing him too much.

This team has been crap all season. Has been less crappy lately, but I hope Curry gets going again. He has been awful the last game to today so far.
As I type this, he gets a layup. Good, good.

The big problem with Seth is that he doesn't have the quickness or athleticism to make up for his size. I mentioned Monk making no sense with Seth, but he is so much more athletic.

Mejri should be getting way more playing time at 5 IMO, but that's not gonna happen with Rick.

Pick is going to be higher, Noel is going to be cheaper.
win/win?
I dont think we would pull off a we believe in the playoffs anyway. Even with no Durant.

The bigger problem is that Dirk has to play center. Dunno if another center can start so long as he keeps playing.

Finney-Smith has no offensive game whatsoever.

I still think Yogi does a great job running the team considering expectations.
He still has no clue how to consistently attack the rim though.

I think a training camp would do wonders for him. He's done pretty well considering he was plug-n-go from the start.

That's exactly what I was originally saying. I wasn't getting that info from anyone just thinking out loud. I figure the mavs aren't going to take the risk.
