GDT game 73 - Thunder (41-31) at Mavs (31-42) 7:30 FSSW
Thunder come to town and bring with them Russell "Not a Superstar" Westbrook.
The Numbers
Both teams come in having dropped their last game
OKC is 6-4 in last 10. Mavs are 5-5
1-1 - the season record between the Mavs and Thunder.
Injuries
Matthews - old - probable to play. questionable to contribute positively

I hope Noel starts at the cost of anyone else.
I don't like Wes Mathews on the floor, but since we need to lose I guess he needs to be on the floor.

Mavs lose. By a lot.
(just wish I knew if I was talking about this game or our chances at a higher pick...)

Russ still gunning for triple double record, and Thunder looking for home-court... we lose by 10.

Westbrick also eternal butthurt regarding Cuban, so he is going to take at least 30 shots

I believe Mr. yahyes and I are the last hopeful fans to still believe the Mavs have a chance of reaching the playoffs and that ottery balls are secondary to the idea of watching the Mavs play a "little longer" in the post-season... any otter believers??? I don't think so, but I will stay faithful to my metaphysical, positive-thinking Mavs' predictions... then, the Mavs give an-otter surprise tonight, beating the Thunderotters, like they did to the LA Otters, and stopping Otterbrook's triple-double streak...
Mavs - 109
Thunderotters - 107

Westbrook is among my favorite non-Mavs so it's always really exciting to watch him play. Not so excited to watch him positively roast our backcourt.

A piece of me still wants them to win and forget the tank. Portland and Denver don't even look that good of an 8 seed. So a 10 game win streak should for sure sneak right into playoffs.

F that guy even when he's doing good. Mavs could shut him down easily if they left Wes on him every play.

Seth Curry pulled from play for a "minor shoulder injury".
Just happened about 20 games too late. At least there's still time to drop back to 9-10.

As long as Dirk, Barnes, and Noel can get more time to gel. Then that's all good.

OKC is an awful team outside of Westbrook.

Westbrook is totally hunting for assists right now, more worried about his stats than winning... No other reason to pass up that last shot.

I'm a big fan of Noel's energy on both ends of the floor. This kid is going to be great for us next season.

And people go on and on about him needing to gain weight. But it will always be a give and take with that. Gain too much weight, and you lose some mobility which is what makes him so good.

Matthews is absolutely terrible, terrible on offense. Why Rick isn't in his grill every timeout is mindboggling.

No Seth and the Mavs are up 15 at the break. Someone tell them we are trying to lose.

10-point Q2 for OKC... Great job by the Mavs on defense!

Well you have 4 above average defenders in the starting lineup. And yet, the offense somehow looks crisp.

Thunder just outscored their 2nd quarter in the last 2-and-a-half minutes.
