GDT game 74 - Mavs (31-42) at Pelicans (31-43) 7:00 FSSW
Mavs go to N'awleaons to take on BoogieBrow. Pelicans are our biggest competitors for the 9th (lottery) seed. They are only a half game better than us, so a loss tonight would leap frog them and give us 9th place as well as tying the season series, sending it to division record (both teams are .333 against the division) and then conference that the Pelicans lead.

If you take a look at the draft board, you can see that at 9th, we would very likely have several options to draft a perimeter player with a high ceiling. That is the cutoff point, at 10, we could be looking at drafting the Finnish kid. He could be a good NBA player, but I would rather take my chances with Nkilitina, Smith or Monk.

I will not accept the ottery-tank option when the Mavs are just five games away from getting the 8th spot in the West... tonight, the Ottercans fall to the Mavs, who get their first W of a 10 game winning streak which will secure the playoffs....
