A loss tonight puts us 1/2 a game above Minny (who holds the tie-breaker) for that #8 pick... Grizz still playing for 6th seed.

Maybe we can beat Minny at losing.

We're both 3-7 in our last 10, so it's gonna be tight!

We can't beat anyone at anything-- even losing.

Still, 8 would be sweet. 2.4% higher chance of a top 3 pick, but more likely-- an 8th pick instead of 9th.

I know we're on a 3-game losing streak, but all things are pointing to a win tonight. Ugh. Prove me wrong, Mavs. Prove me wrong.

The difference between 8 & 9 could be the difference between getting Smith/Monk/Ntilikina as opposed to getting stuck with Markkanen.

Grizzled + Otter - Tank = Mavs W... 8 straight wins is still an very possible option, so tonight, the Mavs' win streak for the 8th spot in the West begins...

Mavs - 103
Grizzled Otters - 100

my god we better get a cornerstone player out of this draft. This is some of the worst basketball Ive ever seen. Silly me I thought theyd compete tonight. The body language is so depressing.

Four guys 30 and over playing at the same time in a lopsided game when we're completely out of the PO picture.
Why?????????????

Here we go again...4 old guys and Barnes on the court to close the game. So we go into next season knowing very little about the young guys we have.

Agreed. Rick proclaims Barnes is running on fumes. We are all but mathematically eliminated. And 38 minutes. And Wes has been running on fumes for months seemingly. Keep them all below 30. We are playing for next season. Protect your investments(Noel and his knees included). Evaluate Brussino, Uthoff, etc.

I love Carlisle for his x's and o' and loyalty. And of course the 'Ship.
But what a stubborn mofo.

And then hopefully the Curry situation repeats, and we draft a stud before them! That would be the script! Ah, you know what, let them draft a stud too, the main thing is that we find ours!

I love Carlisle for his x's and o' and loyalty. And of course the 'Ship.
But what a stubborn mofo.
Maybe he's keeping Silver happy.

If Ball is on the Mavs draft board I would say take him. These last games are going to be useless. It's almost over.

Ball will be gone long before the Mavs pick.

Which could leave Fultz open. The feud they are kind of having right now if interesting too.

Dude, what are you talking about?? Fultz and Ball will likely be #1 and #2, Mavs won't be picking any higher than #7 unless they have a lotto ball miracle.

Josh Jackson or Fox could also go 1 and 2. And who says Boston is for sure drafting either? Ball could have teams hesitant. Though Lakers will snatch him for sure. I think Mavs can pick higher than 7 with this losing streak closing the season out.
