Mavs suck at early games so I'm optimistic.

@bobbykaralla: Ferrell, Matthews, Barnes, Dirk, Noel for Dallas. Both Dirk and Matthews (Marquette) get big applause in intros.

Has Finney-smith made a three in the last few months? He is cold.

Gotta love seeing a ref take down Barea for a 5-on-4... There should be a rule on that.

I love how he just successfully guarded a guy that's one foot taller than him...Kid is tenacious.

I think his defense is what makes Rick keep him in the game. Makes up for his over-dribbling.
I should also add that Yogi leads the team in rebounds so far with 3.

That probably says more about the Mavs than about Yogi, but he certainly doesn't lack in effort.

Dirk hobbled, Mavs winning when they need to be losing... Fuck this game.

Carlisle is going to keep playing our starters until one of them gets a major injury and misses most of next season, but we'll still end up winning enough games to where we get stuck picking Markkanen who will bust out of the league because he's softer than a soggy cracker...

Lauri Markkanen could land fairly on the Mavs draft board after this. I like this. Also don't get the overreaction on the win when it's about sealed being in top 10 range.

Because the less games we win the higher potential pick we could have which will give us a higher chance of drafting a better player.

Big difference between 8 & 10 in this draft.

Barnes finally decides to attack the rim in a meaningless game we shouldn't have won, yay.

Huge difference. This draft looks to be 8-deep as far as high ceiling prospects go. Of course you never know, and another team above us could choose to go for fit rather than talent, but one thing is for sure, our options would be much more limited at 10th that they would be even a single place higher. It was hard enough to stomach that we chased the playoffs, and now they want to win as many of the remaining games as possible, when there is nothing to play for? I'm not saying miss shots for eff sake, but sit out some of our players, it was a long season and they fought hard, they deserve some rest, wink, wink.

Crucial win. Team can really build on this. Bottle this momentum and carry it over into next season.

Wait, Barnes only played 39 out of a possible 48 minutes. Dude is soft. Trade him for cap space

Yep, I've seen mocks where guys like Monk, Isaac, Smith, or Fox have slipped to #8... But at #10, we'll be lucky if Ntilikina falls to us.
