GDT Game 16: Mavs (2-13) vs Timberwolves (9-5) 7:30pm FSSW
@EarlKSneed: Per @MavsPR, Seth Curry (stress reaction, left tibia), Dorian Finney-Smith (left knee quadriceps tendinitis) and Josh McRoberts (lower extremity injury) are out for the @dallasmavs vs. Minnesota. Devin Harris (bruised ribs) is questionable, but is expected to play. #DALvsMIN

I think he means Finney-Smith. Almost made me panic thinking it was Dennis.

My Mavs day is basically made or broken depending on Smith Jr playing or not. He has looked pretty healthy lately though (knock on wood...slanger).
I've read the DFS injury might be semi-serious.

Probably not, they just finalized the deal a couple hours ago. He might not even be in Dallas yet.

Cleveland had a nice pull up mid range game in the highlights I watched. Reminded me of J-Ho. Then again, there’s a reason they are called highlights

Mavs lose by 4. Dwert Powell scores 10+ points somehow. Probably softly caressing the ball over the rim. on put backs or lobs.

He'll probably get some of those points by shooting 2-8 from beyond the arc.

Speaking of 3's... did Dwert practice with Parsons in the off season? He pump fakes as much as Parsons did. Except he pump fakes a 3 and steps in for a long 2 which he never makes.

I'd like a side of awesomesauce while I eat my words...
@EarlKSneed: Rick Carlisle says Antonius Cleveland will be active tonight. Devin Harris is also expected to be active, per Carlisle. #DALvsMIN

@mavstats: Mavs starters vs MIN: DSJ, Wes, Barnes, KLEBER and Dirk. Last time 2 German-born players started for an NBA team was 4/3/05 (Dirk & Shawn Bradley).
@BallinWithBryan: Würzburg wrecking crew.

@bobbykaralla: Antonius Cleveland just threw down a windmill in layup lines. He said the last time he measured his vertical he cleared the rack. Guy can fly.

Dennis is getting better at those drive and kicks, which is good because the defense totally collapses whenever he looks to attack, leaving almost everybody wide open on the perimeter.

Without doubt the best six minutes of ball I've seen the Mavs string together this year. The defense was solid. The rebounding was solid. The offense was organic and not forced at all, but aggressive and disciplined. Great, great ball.
Edit: I also love how we immediately exploit the Wiggins on Barnes matchup by posting HB up. It's plays like that that really make me appreciate RC.

Also, Dirk just tied Hakeem for the most FGM with a rare (these days) post up.

Barnes was playing great. Should've subbed Wes out, not him IMO.

Dallas is 18th in 3P% and 29th in FG%. Imagine if we didn't have DSJ getting guys open look after open look.
It's almost like our scorers from last year (Barnes, Yogi primarily) are needing to get used to catching and shooting vs. dribbling to create.

Yeah, Barnes seems to be adjusting better lately, a bit less ISO than earlier in the season.

Harris is like 40% and still one of the best players on the floor. That's how bad we are.
