Just wanted to start this thread. The game will be on friday, so there´s plenty of time to talk about it. I´m really looking forward to that. I think the US are underdogs, but not by much. The teams play a pretty similar style of soccer, with germany having the better players IMO. Should be fun.

I know some of us on this board are looking forward to this match. Though you should brace yourself for the "Who Cares", "Soccer Sucks", "Boring", "Third World Sport" comments from some on this board who do not respect Soccer as a legimate sport.

soccer is a legitimate sport..it's just overrated.
it's a legitimate sport that sucks and is boring in which no one really cares about that is only really played by third world countries that don't have indoor plumbing. I think i got them all in there. Go USA |

Actually, I've watched alot of the World Cup (as I always do...but don't tell anyone), and it has been an entertaining tourney so far. I look forward to seeing a hard fought match with the Germans this friday.
