rebounds: 11 rebounds

assists: 4 assists

FT%: 87%

blocks 1.5 blocks

steals 1.3 steals

FG attempts: 18 a game

FT attempts: 9 a game

i can live with that..
the only thing i question is the points..i wouldn't be surprised to see nellie be a bit more conservative with minutes at times.

however, i also think that dirk will be allowed to have the offensive reigns a bit more this year..so, i can see 26.. but i'm thinking in 25-25.5 range

I agree. but let's look at the last 3 years...

Year 2: 17.5
Year 3: 21.8
Year 4: 23.4

Difference in Year 2 & 3: 4.3
Difference in Year 3 & 4: 1.6

Now then conservatively, if you add 1.6 to 23.4 you get 25. However I added an extra point to get 26 because Dirk's progression last year would've been higher if he hadn't missed about 5-6 "half" games that killed his average.

I'm sticking with the 26.

i think the 9 ft attempts per game is a bit high as well

I agree that it may be a bit high... however:

He averaged 6.5 FT attempts in his 3rd year... and he averaged 6.8 FT attempts last year...

And I'm basing the bigger increase on him being in the low blocks more.... and again the "half" games.

I hope you are right Bayliss. I would love to see Dirk down low more this season.
