BCS to stop considering Margin of Victory.
Well, yes and no. Moron coaches will still see in the paper that OU beat Navy by 50 and rank accordingly. This is crappy window dressing.
BTW, I support the BCS. Call me crazy.

well, you have to take into consideration margin of victory to an extent.
texas could beat A&M 50-0
and OU could beat A&M 3-0
the scores in all likeliness could be indicative of the teams

it will be totally removed from consideration. It was done so to prevent teams from feeling like they need to run up the score, ala Nebraska, FSU, etc, during lesser games at the end of the year.

They ran up the score before the BCS. What makes people think it will stop?

The reason they ran up the score was because of the poll system. If it is removed, it will eventually change. Nebraska won't feel like they have to beat Iowa State 96-0 to be even with U. of Texas.

I've been saying that for years. It's the damn Bowl system that has all that money that is preventing it.

it's not money that is preventing it...
a 16 or 32 team playoff would bring in an enormous amount of cash from whoever picked up the TV package.
i believe it has more to do with the few super conferences and Notre Dame.
They have enough control to where they can control the NCAA and college football

murph- wrong! The bowl foundations pay shitloads of money to have their bowl. Noone could afford to pay the bowl associations out. You are right in that a playoff would make boatloads of money for a lot of people, but the Bowl Associations are too strong. Too much money to be lost by them.

there could be a way to incorporate the bowls into the playoff system..
and i don't believe there's any way they could have a playoff and not make more money... the TV contract would blow away anything the current system produces

Unless the bowl games were held somehow as the playoff rounds it will not happen.

the only reason it won't happen is because of the control the super conferences have.
