Anything that puts pressure on Lewis and the teams to resolve this stupid standoff quickly allows all the players to move on with their other plans...
Miami may jump into the Popeye Jones hunt.
Why is this good news? Jones visited Dallas again last friday and we all know they want him if Lewis comes to Seattle. If JOnes starts to look seriously at Miami then you've got to figure Dallas will feel some pressure to do something. Miami has their $4.5 million exception available so they can offer Jones a multi-year deal. If they bid for Jones & Dallas gets pressured to make a move that locks up a roster spot and possibly some of Dallas' exception, basically freezing Lewis out.
Of course it could be bad news as well. If this forces Lewis into a decision and he goes to Dallas then Miami could wind up with Jones and we get squat. Still I think anything that puts pressure to speed up these negotiations is a good thing.
Help on the way? The agent for free-agent forward Popeye Jones said he spoke with Miami General Manager Randy Pfund and assured him Jones still was available. Jones has been linked to Washington and Seattle and visited Dallas for a second time Friday, but has not committed to a team.

Could be a good option to add. His rebounding would certainly help us especially if we have to put up a lot of jumpers with the lack of post players.
