If Nash distributes the ball and not look to score, the Mavs shall win. Pippen will probably be guarding Nash most of the time, and it is imperative that Nash set up Dirk, Finley and even the other role players.

The Mavs have played the Blazers well this year, but the Blazers are on a nice roll right now.
Like Bayliss said, Nash must distribute the ball and get Finley, Dirk and the role players involved early. And since Pippen is most likely to be guarding Nash today, he MUST protect the ball. He's had some turnovers lately and Pippen is just the person to create more.
Wallace is the only one the Mavs have a hard time stopping before and he's out today. Go to Dirk and let him work Randolph early and see what happens.

i dont want Nick to get in right now, nash is activating the players well, with 3 assits, nick would only take some shots, you need a passer on the court.

Dirk and Finley are really passing the ball right now. It's almost like the Kings in that regard.

yea,at times like that we should try an aggresive man to man,of course the Zone would work against a wallace less team, thet dont have any pure shooters on the court.
it would be different against the kings.
btw,the kings are losing to the raptors.

Besides that missed 3 by Finley just now, what the hell has gotten into him today?
He's on fire and attacking the basket with anger. He's had some nice moves to the bakset, why can't he do that all the time?
Nice shot by LaFrentz to end the first.

We had 11 assists in that first quarter. If we can get that mentality on offense against the Lakers and Kings then I like our chances. Dribbling too much for us spells disaster.

I wouldn't mind this lineup: Griff and Bell on the court if we weren't so small.

I don't think I've seen a game where he has played bad. Right now he should get 30 minutes every game.

Agree Bayliss, why the hell did we go small??
The Blazers are within 6, I think.
Dirk has had a nice rest, it's time to get him back in there to fill up the middle.
What's with the fouls and the baskets the Blazers are getting right now? It's irritating.
Hopefully Raja can get another minute or two rest and then come back in cause he's all up on his man in this game.

Ohhh, we have the big lineup right now of Bradley, Raef and Dirk up front.
I know Finley needs a rest, but I'd rather have Finley in there with that lineup instead of NVE.

Adrian and Raef should just stop shooting and better give the ball to Dirk, Nellie has to bring in Shawn again

We have 2 assists this quarter... compared to 11 in the first quarter. Coincidence that we are losing?
And explain to me again why Dirk hasn't got the ball in the post 1 time this half?

It's a good thing Raef and Bradley are playing well since Dirk has those 3 fouls.
Sweet, that was a nice save and pass from NVE to LaFrentz. How in the world did he do that while running out of bounds.
I'm going to be irritated if Finley comes out cold after sitting so long in this 2nd quarter.

We are up again, but this game is called a bit uneven. Actually they don´t call anything on the Blazers, and two of Dirk´s fouls were BS calls.

Is it just me or did it seem like our ball movement bog down when NVE and Nash were in the game together?

..since Nellie`s public barking Raef is a different player...
His line is pretty impressive 11pts on 5-8 shooting, 7 rebs(4 off.!!) and 2 blocks...

Nice half all things considered. Looks like the Mavs are playing decent overall defense. Certainly it could be picked up in a few places though. Really impressed with Raef's effort.
I missed most of the 1st quarter and didn't see the offensive foul on Dirk, but heard the radio anouncer say it was a bad call. Any perspective from those who saw it?

it's funny to me when bill walton insisted that nash had a beautiful pass to lafrenze when he made that driving layup shot...It looked like a missed layup by nash to me..
