On to round 3 sans Murphy. As I stated before, there are some who I think are either indifferent to the poll or have been struck by a Mack truck and don't post anymore. See round 2 for the list of names I have taken off. Unless I hear from you, I will assume that's ok. 25 posters voted in the last round, so I'm assuming someone will let me know (unless Uber is 20 of those). Here we go.

German for "storm and stress": an 18th century German literary movement that featured the struggle of an idealistic individual against conventional society. What can I say? I'm a dork.

I didn't have a jolt this morning.
I decided to vote on the poll and noticed my name was gone. I thought who have I ever been so cruel to that I was voted off with Murph in the last round? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Then I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized that my name was just taken off the ballot. Whew, that's ok by me. I don't wanna see me get the boot.

"Sturm und Drang"
This is a german era in literature, mostly featuring works of the young Schiller and Goethe. It contains of very powerful, energetic language and covers topics of growing up, fighting social and cultural barriers with youth and courage and also has some battles with "gods" or superior enemies. Actually this "Sturm und Drang" also refers to an upcoming new generation in germany, so if young guns start to re-work old teams and rosters, often this expression is used by reporters. If you take a look back at a professional sportsman carreer, "Sturm und Drang - Phase" or "Sturm und Drang - Zeit" is the first years of this guy in a professional team / major league, before his maturity steps in and he becomes a true calm-down (or outspoken, but not yelling like before) leader.

Cool: I was looking at it purely from literature-geekdom point of view. Maybe I should change my name to "schadenfreude"... heh heh. That could be pretty relevant, too.
