unlocking your cell phone basically means that it is no longer restricted to a particular carrier.
so for instance, if you bought your nokia cell from AT&T and wanted to switch to T-Mobile, you could do so if you had an unlocked phone. otherwise, you'd have to buy a new phone from T-Mobile. |

Annoying huh. Only prepaid mobiles are locked here, but they're starting to
stop that, which is nice. I still have an old phone, which is locked..not a nokia though..and i'm not in texas, so i guess you can't really help me [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
