Mekel should have got away from Dirk on that pick and pop. Stood right next to Dirk and Dirk had two defenders on him.

Blair is SO good at what he does. (Though limited)
Gal is proving me wrong thus far. I didn't think he had any NBA game.

Dirk might get double digit rebounds tonight. He might not get double digit points though.

Our defense will likely never be great during the season, but as long as we score more than the opponent, I don't care

Blair and Mekel work together well. Blair a much better catch and finish guy than Dalembert. Blair also makes good cuts.

Tbh he really didn't show this in the preseason. He has definitely found his groove.

I think Blair has worked well with everyone thus far. His play has been encouraging.

Blair is really good around the rim on offense. Just would love it if he could defend as the 5.

19 Rebounds in the first quarter! Great first quarter I've seen by us in a while.
Definitely not missing Collison and Mayo.

True. Guys like Gal are probably better when playing with better talent than summer league/preseason offer.

Good for Gal. Calderon will get his. But Gal needs every opportunity to establish himself.

Crowder has been pretty good.
That is one reason why Dirk should have just rose up and shot that one shot earlier. He looked to draw a foul. Has absolutely no rythym.
Mekel needs to ditch the hitch on his shot. Just rise and shoot the damn ball and stop treating it like it is a cannonball.

This is an electric and diverse offensive team.
How fun is this?

Mavs looking worse with Dirk on the floor. You don't see that often...

Love the way Ellis is letting the game come to him.

The Lakers are terrible, but our Mavs just put up 67 in the first half!

Something that most people don't notice is just how incredibly easy Dirk makes it for Ellis and especially Mekel. When Dirk sets the pick, both defenders literally stick to him like glue and Mekel has a clear path (seriously, no one was within 5 feet of him) to the basket for an easy floater or a pass to a cutting Blair. Any PG in the NBA with decent quickness (just like JJB when he was here) can take advantage of Dirk. Something which doesn't show up in the stat sheet, but is why Dirk is still one of the most valuable players in basketball.

Also, I loved the Blair signing at the time and still do. There are teams he will struggle against. But for the price, he's an insane value.

Well.... Pringles needs to not play uptempo when you have a 40 year old PG at the helm who can no longer shoot.
