This team is so much less exciting to watch without Noel. The difference is amazing.

Mejri often limits his own playing time with fouls.

Down 13 with 1 quarter left, Rick puts in the 10-day rookie... Frank the Tank is in the house!

I would not shed any tears if neither Wes nor Powell were on the team next year. Two very frustrating players, especially in light of their contracts. :-(

Curry has to find a way to play without the ball. Seems teams are putting their best defenders on him and taking him completely out of the game.
It appears it is having a mental effect on him and he looks frustrated.
Part of the growing pains I guess.

The problem is that he doesn't have a lot of time left to deal with growing pains at his age. The big worry is that he is worthless when the shots aren't draining.
The FO is going to have to start making more advanced decisions with players versus just playing it by ear. If Seth can get you a lot in return this summer, then you gotta listen. And if you can get anything for Wes, then you gotta listen.
And Noel is a huge question mark now as well. We didn't pay knee problem Parsons a max contract, but now we might pay knee problem Noel the max?
I just think it's time to be realistic about how good the Mavs really are. They are an almost playoff team that still has a ton of flaws. Becoming too emotional about the current team would be a mistake.

36.5% from the field, 28.0% for 3pt. and 69.2% from the line.

Before the game, Rick Carlisle said “We've got some guys that like to pound it. If they can't break themselves of that, then I'll have to break them of being on floor." Who could he be talking about?

Article thinks jjb, which i think is highly unlikely since he just came back off injury. RC did say after the game he liked the ball movement in the first half, so there's that.

Rebounding is still the main problem with the team.

I'm guessing Yogi is one of the players he's referring to. I've noticed a few times he works to get penetration, and then doesn't seem to have much of a plan. Part of the learning process. In the d league he probably found a shot more often then not, once he got by his defender.

Yeah, Yogi does tend to pound the ball too much sometimes, especially late in the clock... Like, he just lasers-in on the hoop and ignores everyone else on the floor. Which could be an admirable trait -- if he ever sank those buckets.

Really? Man, I always feel like Yogi tries too hard to get other teammates involved to the detriment of his ability to finish around the basket. He'll attack the rim, have an open layup, and then pass it.
Yogi is a scoring pg and should focus on being that. Don't try so hard to be something you aren't.

Agreed. I lose count of how many times he drives by a pick, dirk pops(or anyone), and he keeps driving to the rim. Now at least he doesnt take ill advised shots. If theres nothing there, he keeps dribbling towards the rim and back out, and will usually pass it at this point. Like someone else said, in the d league there is probably something there more times than not.

But at the end of the day, all of this means nothing when we dont have a legit center. The games have been night and day difference.

I liked the part in last nights game where we kept getting stops, but couldn't score at all to make a push. The shot clock is winding down and the ball swang to Dirk behind the 3pt line with 2 seconds, then he just passed it to Brusino who was also behind the 3pt line but was covered. Launches a wild 3 just in time and Barely caught rim. That is when I gave up the last bit of hope in my tank.
